“My intuition is my super power. I welcome all new thoughts and ideas that come to me, for I know they are messages sent from above.”

The New Moon in Pisces is reaching its peak at the early degrees of Pisces, 1º to be exact. Because of this, this lunation falls on a very interesting and unique position, protecting it from the possible squares that could have received from Mars in Gemini. It feels as if this New Moon in Pisces had a protective shell around it, creating a beautiful balance and harmony between all other elements in the chart. It is romantic and poetic almost, I see this as if the New Moon was dancing in the cosmos and with every turn and twist it bypassed evil forces.

Every year I like to do a visualisation exercise where I envision an element or a symbol for the future year. I remember when last year around October / November I thought on 2023 as the the year of ‘the holy waters’ – not on a religious sense, but more so as the water of life that nurtures the soil of our foundations. This theme is something I then take with me and my creative vision which is then reflected in future projects and products I intend on working on.
Interestingly though, this year is the year of the Water Rabbit in Chinese astrology and one of the major cosmic shifts we will experience is Saturn moving to the sign of Pisces which will change the astrological panorama on many levels. I love finding little hints of this theme I envisioned a while ago reflected on other aspects of the cosmos.

Now as for the New Moon in Pisces, it sits far away from the conjunction between Venus and Neptune, which I personally prefer. Venus and Neptune is a very holistic and poetic pair, they’re very complimentary as Venus finds its exaltation in Pisces while Neptune is at domicile in Pisces, though the Moon represents our emotions and instincts, which could be blurred out by the Neptunian influence.

While I mentioned this New Moon is well rounded and has some very auspicious elements, there is one point of tension happening between the planet Mercury in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus. However, not all squares have a negative outcome, and sometimes we need to be pushed out of our comfort zone so we can continue to grow. This transit Mercury is making in Aquarius feels quite significant, as it has been creating different conjunctions with Saturn since 2020. The messenger between realities has an important message to share with us, since it will soon meet Saturn at the very late degrees of Aquarius for a final time.

This square reminds us it is time to reinvent ourselves. And by this I don’t mean to make drastic changes in our lives, nor do I expect you to change your life or yourself entirely, though I think this is an invitation to break the rules and embody who we want to be (now) and worry less about how our environment would perceive this change. Perhaps this means you will be changing something you have been doing for a while, or a model (whether that applies to studies, career, personal) you have been following and that has worked out for you before, yet it feels slightly predictable at this point. Like the Fool, The Magician and the Star in Tarot (Uranus as The Fool, The Magician as Mercury and Aquarius as The Star) it is time to jump into the unknown and having faith in our abilities to create or manifest what we want.
If you have been reading my lunation reports for a while, you would already know I like using the Mansions of the Moon, not only for the New Moon or Full Moon charts specifically, but also as my daily planetary magic practice. During this New Moon in Pisces the Moon will be activating the XXVI Mansion, which goes from the 21º Aquarius to 4º Pisces. The twenty-sixth mansion is located in the constellation of Pegasus, in Pisces. Ptolemy said that the nature of this mansion holds the energy of Mars and Mercury. This was traditionally the mansion of romantic and divine love, where sexuality and passion are not a focal point but the genuine connection between two souls.
This mansion is a reminder to tap into our sense of oneness and other celestial realms. To witness in others the energy we carry within ourselves. We are a reflection of a divine source, with love as our universal language. Reciprocation is our channel of reception. There are connections in our lives that not only belong to a higher realm but are able to expand our consciousness. We are not attached to the mundane anymore. Our souls are forever bonded with theirs in the astral plane.

On the other hand, the New Moon will be closely conjunct the Fixed star Fomalhaut and Neptune is currently positioned on top of Markab in the constellation of Pegasus, the winged horse. Fomahault is also known as the Sourthen Fish, situated in the eye and the fish itself, which is found at the foot of the water bearer. According to Ptolemy, it is of the nature of Venus and Mercury (idealistic, psychic, handsome, neat, lovable, refined, genteel, intelligent). It is said to be very fortunate and powerful and yet to cause malevolence of sublime scope and character, and change from a material to a spiritual form of expression.
“When the Southern Fish rises into the heavens, leaving its native waters for a foreign element, whoever at this hour takes hold of life will spend his years about sea-shore and river-bank he will capture fish as they swim poised in the hidden depths; he will cast his greedy eyes into the midst of the waters, craving to gather pellucid stones (pearls) and, immersed himself, will bring them forth together with the homes of protective shell wherein they lurk. No peril is left for man to brave, profit is sought by means of shipwreck, and the diver who has plunged into the depths becomes, like the booty, the object of recovery. And not always small is the gain to be derived from this dangerous labor (implying that a diver’s life was usually an unenviable one) pearls are worth fortunes, and because of these splendid stones there is scarcely a rich man left. Dwellers on land are burdened with the treasures of the sea. [Manilius, Astronomica, 1st century AD, book 5, p.333.]

On the other hand, the Fixed Star Markab is found in the wing of the winged horse Pegasus. Ptolemy said that the nature of this fixed star is a resemblance of the energy of Mercury and Mars. Traditionally, this fixed star was thought to offer ambition and a strong sense of intuition. Although when in a conjunction with one of the malefic planets it could bring chaos and destruction.
Pegasus the winged Horse will appear and gallop aloft in the heavens. It will bring forth people endowed with swiftness of movement and limbs alert to perform every task. One man will cause his horse to wheel round in caracoles, and proudly mounted on its back he will wage war from on high; horseman and soldier in one. Another will possess the ability to rob the racecourse of its true length such is his speed that he will seem to dissemble the movement of his feet and make the ground vanish before him. Who more swiftly could fly back from the ends of the earth as messenger or with light foot to the earth’s ends make his way?  He will also heal a horse’s wounds with the sap of common plants, and will know the herbs which bring aid to an animal’s limbs and those which grow for the use of man.” [Manilius, Astronomica, 1st century AD, book 5, p.350-353.]
I see this influence as a subtle reminder to not overdoing life. Enjoying the brief moments of peace among the chaos, knowing only we can set ourselves free from the restrictions we encounter.

I hope you enjoyed this astroreport and learned new things. New timelines are emerging, Stay alert and pay attention to the signs.
